The Gospel of Matthew doesn't mention that either, and He was a disciple of Jesus too, but he also, like John, says they both cursed and shouted blasphemies at Jesus, like John does.
Christ was so humble and so willing in His self-sacrifice. Jesus initiated the confrontation, not Judas. Judas didn't even have an opportunity to open his mouth. He went out of the gate to meet them as they were coming to get Him.
